At HORIZON we all believe that together we can make earth a better place for all to live in harmony and peace. That is why, we ensure that all our business activities are combined with acts of social solidarity and environmental conscience. After all, at the core of our philosophy is the return of the added value produced by our work to society as a whole.

For all of us, Corporate Social Responsibility primarily concerns business ethics, which is shaped by a consistent system of principles and values focused on the provision of high-quality, human-centered services. We then transform our social and environmental sensitivity into tangible acts of contribution, strengthening our social partners with meaningful solidarity actions, as we believe that we must become the first to change if we wish to see any progress in this world.

Thus, we actively assist and cooperate, through our contributions and sponsorships to foundations, organizations, sports-clubs, charitable and environmental organizations, strengthening our society “footprint” alongside our environmental, cultural and sports engagement, constantly through our CSR actions.

Activities for the Society as a whole

  • We financially supported the “ASSOCIATES OF VOLUNTEER FOREST PROTECTION VOLUNTEERS OF AFIDNES” by covering their immediate and necessary needs, as their role is extremely important in the protection of our local environment.
  • We have been supporting the work of the non-profit organization “SOS Children’s Villages” for several years.
  • We have actively contributed to the support of the “Hellenic Society for the Protection and Rehabilitation of Disabled Children”.
  • We financially supported the efforts of the “Rotary Club of Athens” and provided scholarships for students needing financial aid.
  • We financially supported the work of “Doctors Without Borders” for Greece.
  • We actively contributed to the support relief of the fire victims of the Peloponnese region, after the devastating fires during the summer of 2007.

Activities for the Environment

  • We contribute to the protection of our environment, by raising awareness amongst our people, with the sole aim of cultivating ecological awareness across the entire spectrum of our activities.
  • We recycle paper, light bulbs and batteries by placing special bins in our office spaces and having them collected at regular intervals by the specialized recycling companies.
  • We have prepared a study to reduce the volume of waste and paper we use and we strictly follow it.
  • We use 100% recycled paper in the majority of our operations, and recycled ink cartridges for our photocopiers, faxes and printers.
  • We have exclusive use of natural gas, as well as continuous maintenance of the air conditioning systems of our offices, with the aim of minimizing the energy we consume.

Activities for Culture and Sports

For the promotion of education, arts, sciences and the sporting ideal:

  • We have been supporting, consistently for years, the “Doukas Educational Sports Club”.
  • We are the main Sponsor of the Football Academies of the new 2024-2025 season of the Psychiko Football Club (providing new uniforms and financial support for the young football team).
  • We offered sponsorship to the “Union of Atromitos Rethymniakou” for the excellent organization of the “27th Vardinoyiannia”.
  • We offered financial support to the company “Synergates for the anniversary of 150 years of Pediatrics”.
  • We provided sponsorship to the international track and field meeting “26th Vardinoyiannia”.
  • We supported the work of the non-profit association “Futsalhellas, Dimitris Nikolaou” for the development and promotion of futsal in Greece.
  • We participated as a sponsor in the Nea Kifisia Athletic Association.

Το 2021 ενισχύσαμε οικονομικά την ομάδα basket ΑΛΦ ΑΛΙΜΟΥ, με την  κάλυψη των αναγκών ένδυσης (αθλητικές εμφανίσεις) των τμημάτων Ανδρών & Εφήβων της ομάδας. Η ΑΛΦ ΑΛΙΜΟΥ αποτελεί την πιο ιστορική ομάδα της περιοχής με πρωταθλήματα και παρουσία κατά το παρελθόν στις Εθνικές Επαγγελματικές κατηγορίες. Είμαστε υπερήφανοι που ήμασταν δίπλα σας!
