Owning a yacht, or a boat, entails taking on a responsibility that involves various risks. The local Greek State, having recognized the necessity and importance of insurance, has made third party civil liability coverage for boat and yacht owners mandatory in accordance with the Greek law 4256/2014.

Specifically, our insurance company can provide you with coverage for:

Civil liability for bodily injury and/or death of passengers and third parties with a liability limit of €50,000 per person and a total of €500,000 per event.
Civil liability for material damages of passengers and third parties with a liability limit of €150,000.
Civil liability for causing marine pollution by accident and concerns exclusively the cost of depollution of the sea or lake area with a liability limit of €150,000.

Coverage is provided for:

Private pleasure motor boats/yachts.
Private pleasure sailing boats/yachts.

Legal Protection
Covers legal costs and attorneys’ fees up to €3,000 and offers the following:
– Damages Claim: The damage caused by another vessel to the insured’s vessel is claimed, either from the owner of the other vessel or from its insurance company.
– Criminal Defense: Criminal charges, for injury or death of third parties, marine pollution and other violations for failure to comply with navigation regulations, are rejected.
